Every time the Olympics are broadcast prior to this year, it’s been an exercise in frustration trying to follow the events I’m interested in watching.
I used to be on an Archery team, I taught riding, as a former dancer/choreographer I want to watch Rhythmic Gymnastics and now that I live in Rhode Island I want to watch ALL the sailing events. I seem to be the only person in the US who’s got that particular set of interests, and these are sports that Americans excel in so they generally aren’t covered on broadcast TV.
But this year, using the Peacock Streaming service, I’ve been able to put together my own special feed with all the stuff I want to see. Plus, they have the “Gold Zone” to show highlights from everything else. Figuring out the User Interface wasn’t trivial, but I managed. And it was worth the effort.
This is mostly a public service announcement on the off chance you’ve got the same sort of eclectic interests I have. If you spring for the version with ads, it’s not terribly expensive either.
Thank you so much for this tip! Robert & I have watched some of the selected Olympics on Peacock. Not glued to the tube, but seeing what we wanted, which turned out to be a lot like your list! Happily with no commercials. Will probably cancel when finished, since there doesn’t look to be anything else they offer that we want to see. But we would never have thought of this without your recommendation! Many thanks!
