I’m sitting here in the airport in Phoenix, waiting to catch the red-eye to Chicago. From Chicago, I have an early morning flight that will bring me to Ottawa and the North American Cathedral Dean’s conference. It’s my first time to attend the yearly meeting of the “mystical fellowship of deans” and I’ve been looking forward to it since I learned I was invited.
Sadly, I’m traveling alone. One of the things that got lost in the move was my wife’s passport. And since Homeland Security is now requiring passports for all air travel outside of the US, the line to get a new one for her was too long for her to make this trip with me. (Hopefully next year thought, right K?)
I’m not sure how much internet access I’ll have up north. I won’t be able to use my phone to check mail or surf the web if the meetings get boring, so I’ll have to limit myself to getting online during the evening hours at the hotel.
There’s a new national blog for Episcopalians about to be announced Рtomorrow or the day after Рif all the tech details fall into place. Keep an eye out for it. It’s something I’ve been working with folks on now for a long while, and I’m quite excited that it’s about to launch.
In the meantime, I’ll keep my ears open for any interesting tidbits that I might here during the conference. I’m especially interested to hear from our Canadian colleagues, now that they’ve had a visit from the ABC and all.
