How’s this for irony? With today announcement that Apple is going to begin a shift to Intel processors for their hardware, the Internet news sites have been going crazy.

The one place you used to be able to always get info and never had to worry about becoming overloaded with too many users was Slashdot.

Well… I just tried to login to Slashdot. It was unavailable because of the high load. It was Slashdotted!* Grin.

*To be slashdotted is to have your site’s server overloaded because too many people are trying to access the server at once. It tends to happen whenever Slashdot (a technical news site) posts a link to your site that points to a story you have posted.
