Church Gets Wind Power

Current Affairs / Peak Oil

I’ve been pointing to news that energy prices are going to rise. So what should congregations be doing in response?

This:

“Church in Springdale is becoming more energy efficient by installing three wind turbines to generate electricity.

The three towers are arranged with the middle higher than the outside two, an expression of trinitarian faith, church officials said.

The turbines will produce about 15 percent of the church’s energy needs.

Church leaders said wind is a sign of the presence of God’s spirit on the earth.”

(Oh, btw, I’ve added a new tag to make it easier to track stories about the effects oil prices are going to have on the Church. Use the link “Peak Oil” to find stories on that subject.)
