prayers for olde englande

Climate Change / Current Affairs

The Mad Priest has the following prayer request:

“A ten foot tidal surge is heading down the North Sea and will hit East Anglia (Norfolk and Suffolk) at about 6.00 a.m. tomorrow. My wife’s folks live there (though they should be safe), as do some good friends of mine (who are on the coast, in the firing line). Although he’s a bit further south I am also worried about our long time friend, Rev Sam, who lives on what is little more than a sand bank.

The Thames Barrier has been raised. The sandbags are being put out as fast as possible. This is the worst surge on the East Coast in 50 years. Please pray, once again, for Olde Englande.”

Beaking news stories about the surge can be found here.

This is a particularly good one at the moment.
