For those of us around at the beginning of the Web, Netscape Navigator was the only real browser to choose from.
Over the years Netscape lost it’s way, became Mozilla and then an ISP.
But today there’s news of a brand new version of Netscape – version 9!

I’m using the Mac version right now. All my favorite Firefox extensions work in it, and it seems faster somehow than a standard Firefox install. And more importantly, the text display in Netscape appears better than it does in Firefox for me on a Mac.
Amazing. I’m using Netscape again. And it’s not awful. Who’d a thunk it…

It’s true. I was amazed at how good Netscape is again. (And it got really, really bad there for awhile.)
It’s just as good as, or better than even, Firefox. Of course, it’s a first cousin or some such close relation!
