Off to Naco, AZ and Naco, Sonora Mexico for the weekend

World Mission

My wife, daughter and I are off the Arizona/Mexico border this weekend to take part in the work that Cathedral Health Services are doing to provide health care to people on both sides of the border down there.

We’ll be working at the clinic on Saturday. (I’m sweeping floors I think… my wife, who’s an EMT is going to actually be able to contribute something useful and my daughter who speaks spanish will at least be able to talk to folks.) We’ll be having dinner on the Mexican side of the border with folks in that part of the Naco community. Then we’re in church on Sunday, taking part in a procession to the border and returning home in the evening.

I don’t know if I’ll have a chance to blog while traveling, so if nothing gets updated until Monday, you’ll know why. Keep an eye on the news coming out of the bishop’s meeting by keeping your eyes on some of the blogs linked over on the right-hand column of this blog.
