Episcopal Vocabulary – worth a bookmark

Episcopal Vocabulary: “The Episcopal Church has a long tradition, and over that time has inherited, created, or retained many words that might not be familiar to visitors (or even to some of our regulars).  These special terms, though confusing at first, are part of our rich heritage.

Some of these words and phrases are more common in other parishes than at Good Shepherd.  Nor is this list by any means exhaustive.  Nor (and this is important) is memorizing any list of words a prerequisite to being a good Episcopalian.”

This is really helpful. I’m going to ask our parish web-folks to link to this. There are so many terms we use inside the Episcopal Church in ways that can be pretty confusing and even intimidating to outsiders.
