Washington Post Chairman Says Newspapers’ Future Is Not in Paper:

“Washington Post chairman Don Graham said publicly for the first time this week that the future of news is on the Internet, not in print newspapers like the Washington Post.
‘The Web site simply has to come through, ours and that of other newspapers, for us to be successful,’ Graham told investment analysts Wednesday”

Interesting recognition. I’ve seen other coverage of the same idea online in other places this weekend. I’ll be curious to see how long it takes others to come to the same realization.

I’ve not subscribed to a single paper for years. But I’m happy to pay for extra access to the New York Times, Salon.com and other online papers because the news is fresher and the experience better. I guess I’m not alone anymore.
