NPR Coverage of GC

General Convention / Religion

National Public Radio has begun its coverage of General Convention.  You can hear a Day-to-Day report from just a couple of hours ago.  (Thanks to Jane Bender+ for the heads-up on this one!) Not only are they highlighting the (predictable) sexuality debate, they are also noting that there will be discussion of the Episcopal Church’s participation in slavery.

Yesterday’s report  contains interviews with conservative and liberal parishioners and clergy, as well as a comment from the Bishop of Chicago.  Chicago Public Broadcasting has a longer version of the interviews.

Peace,
Laura
