Unexpected results in experimental test of General Relativity

Science

Moving Gravity Field Measured in Lab:

“Funded scientists working for the ESA have successfully measured the weak gravitomagnetic field in a rapidly moving mass. They say what they found appears to be a higher level than what was thought based on Relativity.”

This looks like it’s real. The team that performed the experiment claims that it’s repeatable. (Which makes sense since the result would seem to indicate the presence of some sort of effect that is not accurately described by standard General Relativity. I have no idea what sort of patching will be required to make this fit inside GR, but perhaps the patching might also help us better understand what dark matter is all about as well.

At any event, this bears watching.
