A quick note about where

Uncategorized

A quick note about where I’ve been this week. My IBM laptop died on my Sat. night. I’ve been limping along with a variety of other computers while I await its replacement.

I’ve ordered a new Powerbook from Apple. I’d been meaning to switch back, and this might as well be the time. (I’m finding that I’m spending way more time supporting my computers of late than I am using them to get useful work done.)

At the moment I’m using a cheap machine that I put together out of spare parts back at Christmas time. I installed Linux on it at that time so that I could start learning how to use the operating system. It’s actually quite a nice little box now that I’m using it, and if you’re interested in learning more check out this link to Ubunutu Linux.
